73-year-old Theresa Collier of Largo, Florida, just may be an example of why the justice system is BROKEN.
–Last week, Theresa invited her granddaughter, 18-year-old Felicia Collier, over to use Theresa’s computer to finish her homework. Felicia is trying to finish her senior year of high school online after getting kicked out of a Catholic school for swearing at a nun.
–Well . . . on Tuesday, Felicia didn’t want to do her homework. Theresa tried to get her to do it, so, according to Theresa, quote, “[Felicia] kept repeating the F-word to me, about the whole family. She just went on and on and I just got so upset.”
–So finally, Theresa couldn’t take it anymore, and SLAPPED her granddaughter across the face. They struggled . . . Felicia PUNCHED her grandmother (!!!) . . . and then, Felicia called the police.
–And when they came, they arrested . . . 73-year-old Theresa. The police said that because Felicia is 18, this technically counts as battery. They didn’t say why Felicia was not arrested for hitting her grandmother back.
Should the grandmother have been arrested? What’s your opinion? Was it right for grandma to be arrested?
