Every Wednesday at 8:40, Guardian Angel Pet Rescue joins the Mike and Mandy show to showcase a special animal that needs a good home.
This week’s featured pet is Blue.
Blue, a year old black lab/terrier mix that weighs about 30 pounds and was found on a North Memphis street when he was only a 1.5 to 2 months old. The Good Samaritan that found him realized immediately that he did not feel well because although he acted friendly but pulled away when he tried to touch his head. The vet said that Blue had a very bad sinus infection and suspected that he had been dropped on his head or nose from the way he acted. And that this fall had contributed to his sinus problems plus it caused him to be very fearful when someone tried to pick him up. It took many months to cure the sinus condition but with persistent treatment it was finally cleared up. Blue has now been with us, fostered in a home, for almost a year giving us enough time to cure both his sinus infection and his fear of falling. Blue is up to date on his shots, neutered and heartworm free. He has a lush black coat of fur with brown undertones. Blue is affectionate and loves to be with people and especially enjoys playing with children. He is house trained, well behaved, gets along with all dogs and is not food aggressive. Blue would like a home with another dog to be a companion to and a loving family to show him what it is like to have a real family to treat him well.
We couldn’t do Wet Nose Wednesday without the generous support of our sponsor, Dixie Memorial Pet Cemetery.
