Every Wednesday at 8:40, Guardian Angel Pet Rescue joins the Mike and Mandy show to showcase a special animal that needs a good home.
This week’s featured pet is Moon Pie.
Moon Pie is a 6 month old, female black Lab mix that weighs 36 pounds. She is extremely sweet and passive; she loves to cuddle on the couch, play with other dogs and cats. She would prefer to have another dog in her home to look up to and follow as she looks to other dogs for leadership. Moon Pie is very “girly” and sweet and likes men, women and especially children. Moon Pie is up to date on her shots, heartworm negative and spayed, house trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She was rescued from a shelter at 10 weeks of age and was subsequently found to have congenital left femoral hip degenerative joint disease (this condition is common in Labs and German Shepherds) that is treated with a daily supplement that costs $15 per month. Moon Pie’s activity is not impaired but she should not be taken on long hikes or become someone’s a running partner and should keep a health slim-weight as a preventative measure. And be her canine companion. She is like a big Teddy Bear…soft, cuddly and sweet. So if you and your family are looking for a sweet, young dog that does not need a lot of exercise then you have found her!
